About Azula

Azula is our muse, our inspiration, and the heart behind Lux Cat Living.

We adopted Azula — also affectionately known as Susan — in late 2020, right in the thick of the pandemic. Like so many people during that time, we found ourselves at home, craving connection and companionship, and a rescue cat felt like exactly the right answer. We found her in Washington state, and bringing her home was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Azula is a dilute Tortie, and if you know anything about tortoiseshell cats, you already know she came with a personality all her own. “Tortitude” is very real. She’s opinionated, affectionate on her own terms, endlessly curious, and somehow always in the middle of whatever we’re doing.
